Hand made in the small Zapotec village of San Marcos Tlapazola, Oaxaca, is renowned for "Women of the Red Clay." From gathering the clay from the hills surrounding their mountain village to burnishing with a smooth stone, female artisans handle each steps for weeks to be finished.
