The unique textures, colors and surfaces of these tea cups demonstrate the excitement and immediacy of Raku. The process demands skill from the artist who removes the piece from a red-hot kiln requiring physicality and intuition as there is a creative unpredictability to Raku, which is influenced by the fire. This tea cup evokes a beautiful raw wabi sabi feel with a soft palette of white and light coral colors and numerous different textures.
